The Child Study is made up of a School Social Worker, Psychologist and Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant. Our primary responsibilities are to identify children with developmental delays, evaluate the students and develop an Individual Education Plan.

As the School Social Worker, my duties include:

       .     Identify children with developmental delays

       .     Evaluate children to determine eligibility for Special Education services

       •       Case Manage Classified Students

             - Communicate with Parents/Guardians/teachers

             - Develop  Individual Education Plans

•       Provide Counseling to classified students who are in need

•       Complete a Social Work Assessment with parents

•       Consult with teachers regarding  educational , behavioral and emotional needs of students

•       Provide support to the Intervention and Referral Service Team (I&RS)

            •       Provide resources to parents and students
