Stafford Township School District

Superintendent’s Message – March 2015

I would like to welcome our incoming Kindergarten class of 2028, as well as, our new preschool students to our Stafford family.  Our administrators, educators, and staff are excited to begin this journey with you.  Registration begins on March 18.

We begin March with Read Across America Day and the works of Dr. Theodor Seuss Geisel, better known to us as Dr. Seuss.  Over the years, Dr. Seuss has ignited a passion for reading in generations of students.  Dr. Seuss understood literacy is the gateway to knowledge, innovation and all other learning.

Literacy is a crucial part in developing every generation of students.  We can accomplish this by supporting the resources our students and educators need, as well as, engaging with your children on the pages of a good book.  Together we have the power to improve our children’s learning potential by simply reading.  The benefits from reading exposure are astounding.  Academic excellence, speech skills, communication skills, mastery of language, logical thinking skills, concentration and discipline and grasping abstract concepts are only a few.  As we march into spring, let us raise the bar and commit to empowering our children with a lifelong passion for reading because every student deserves the best chance of success.

Sincerely,

George J. Chidiac
Superintendent
