Superintendent’s Message – February 2017
I’m always surprised at how quickly the school year flies by!  February brings cold weather and shorter days but the students at the Stafford Township School District are not slowing down.  They are actively engaged in exciting and interesting subjects, events and opportunities and working closely with teachers, staff members, and their peers to achieve goals they set forth way back in September.
With that said, we do understand that we are in the midst of cold and flu season.  Please abide by the 24 hour rule when it comes to illness and do your best to ensure that your child is well enough to return to school.  Should your child need to be absent, please inform their teacher, as well as the attendance office at ext. 1017, the reason and expected duration of the absence.
This month begins our Preschool and Kindergarten registration.  We always look forward to welcoming new students to the district. Please check the district website (CLICK HERE) for details in regards to registration dates and times.
Another exciting event taking place next month is the annual PTO Dodgeball Tournament.  This year it will take place on Thursday, March 9 at the 11-12 Southern Regional Gym.  Please check the PTO website for details on how to register your team!
Thank you for your continued involvement in your child’s education.  Remember, school will be closed on Friday, February 17 and Monday, February 20.

NJ's 3rd Congressional District Reading Challenge
The deadline for this Reading Challenge is March 17, 2017. It was Congressman MacArthur’s way to encourage students in New Jersey’s 3rd Congressional District to read in their free time.  This reading challenge is open to all students in grades K-6th and can be found through his website at:  Once completed the student will receive a letter and Congressional Certificate from Congressman MacArthur.
For safety purposes, we encourage parents to not pick up their child(ren) a half hour before dismissal unless it is for an emergency only.  We encourage you to utilize our bus transportation.
