Superintendent’s Message – June 2016

I would like to congratulate everyone on another successful school year.  Although summer time festivities are in full swing, please continue to encourage your children to read throughout the summer.  Reading will help maintain the level of success your child has achieved during the school year.

During the summer vacation, please encourage your child to read independently or to read to you (or both)! Please consider sitting down with your child to discuss the book(s). This can be a rewarding experience for you and your child.

In addition, here are several incentive programs that might motivate your student to get the most out of reading this summer:

Let’s not forget this month our Preschool, Kindergarten and 6th graders will have their promotion ceremonies signifying they are ready to proceed to the next level of their education.  These promotion ceremonies are rites of passage and great occasions to celebrate our students, families and staff.  I congratulate you all on what you have achieved during this school year.  I sincerely wish our 6th grade graduates much success as they continue their education at Southern Regional.  We will miss their energy, spirit and leadership.

I hope all of our Stafford families and staff enjoy a safe and relaxing summer and I am looking forward to seeing everyone in September.
