Stafford Township School District

Superintendent’s Message – April 2015
April is Autism Awareness month.  Autism spectrum disorders affect about 1% of the world population.  World Autism Awareness Day is devoted to increasing world knowledge of autism and celebrating the unique talents and skills of persons with autism.  The Stafford Township School District will be proudly joining the global landmarks, communities, businesses and homes participating in the “Light It Up Blue” campaign on April 2, 2015.  Please join us by shining a bright blue light in honor of those individuals and families affected by autism.
In addition, this month is “Take Your Child to Work Day”.  This tradition first began in 1993 by the Foundation for Woman as “Take Your Daughter to Work Day” and has since grown to include sons.  Annually held on the fourth Thursday in April, the Stafford Township School District is excited to participate on April 23, 2015.  Participation in this special day is a unique educational opportunity for a hands-on, interactive exchange between our students and staff.
Lastly, the Stafford Township School District will be closed for Spring recess beginning April 3, 2015 through April 10, 2015.
