Stafford Township School District

Building a Better World, One Student at a Time

Superintendent’s Message – October 2016

What an amazing and productive first month of school we had! I was excited to see everyone at Back to School Night throughout the district.  We are ready for an outstanding school year. There is a full calendar of events happening this month, please check your child’s school calendar on our website for details and specifics.

This month we will be recognizing: Anti-Bullying Week, Fire Safety Week, and Violence & Vandalism Week. Our goal is to work together to raise awareness on these important subjects. Students will be doing activities and learning the importance of safety and tolerance. Together we can continue to create and foster an atmosphere among our students that is conducive for friendship, respect and character.
Also happening this month are: school pictures and the Halloween parades at our schools. Please remember there is an early dismissal for students on Monday, October 10, 2016. We have officially jumped into the new school year!

NJ's 3rd Congressional District Reading Challenge
The deadline for this Reading Challenge is March 17, 2017. It was Congressman MacArthur’s way to encourage students in New Jersey’s 3rd Congressional District to read in their free time.  This reading challenge is open to all students in grades K-6th and can be found through his website at: www.MacArthur.House.Gov.  Once completed the student will receive a letter and Congressional Certificate from Congressman MacArthur.
For safety purposes, we encourage parents to not pick up their child(ren) a half hour before dismissal unless it is for an emergency only.  We encourage you to utilize our bus transportation.
