The Buildings & Grounds Department has the responsibility of maintaining seven buildings that consist of a total of three hundred and fifty thousand square feet.  In each of the main offices the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) are kept on file.  This enables the district to keep a close watch on the chemicals that are being used in each of our buildings.   Mr. Morris' Phone Number: 978-5700 Ext. 1044 Mrs. Carmel Smith's Phone Number: 978-5700 Ext 1045

NOTE: REGULATION ON: SCHOOL INTEGRATED PEST MANAGEMENT

The district currently employs 15 full-time and 4 Saturday part time custodians. The maintenance division employs 3 Building Mechanics to help maintain the heating, cooling, carpentry, plumbing, painting and preventive needs of the district.

All carpet cleaning and stripping of vinyl floors are done while the buildings are unoccupied.  Winter Recess, Spring and Summer breaks are when all major projects are completed.

The Stafford Township Board of Education has an approved Five Year Preventive Maintenance Plan that guides the Buildings and Grounds Department in assuring that all areas of the facilities are maintained and addressed on a scheduled basis.  A standing Board of Education Buildings and Grounds Committee is appointed annually by the board president and meets on a regular basis.  In addition, the district has an in-house Health and Safety Committee, which is chaired by the Buildings and Grounds Supervisor.  This committee provides individuals the opportunity for input on various health and safety needs of the district, its staff and students.
