am excited to be the new principal of the Oxycocus
Elementary School.
It is evident to me
that the families, entire school staff, board of education, and
administration are working together to benefit the lives of the children
in this community.
I
have worked with children from the ages of five to eighteen for over twenty
years in various schools and positions.
The past five years I have worked as Principal of the Ocean Acres
School, and prior to that I have worked with the
Plumsted
School District. My
positions there included being a special education teacher teaching math,
coordinating the special services department, and being
the assistant to the principal for the elementary school.
I
look forward to working with you so that your child may reach his or her
highest potential.

The "Otter" was chosen as the Oxycocus School Mascot in a school-wide contest held in
1996. The mascot logo was drawn by then Third Grade student Matthew
