I am excited to be the new principal of the Primary Learning Center.  It is evident to me that the families, entire school staff, board of education, and administration are working together to benefit the lives of the children in this community. I have worked with children from the ages of five to eighteen for over twenty years in various schools and positions.  The past several years I have worked as Principal of the Oxycocus School and Principal of the Ocean Acres School, and prior to that I have worked with the Plumsted School District.  My positions there included being a special education teacher teaching math, coordinating the special services department, and being the assistant to the principal for the elementary school. Kindergarten Registration

Students who are age 5 on or before October 1st of the year of entry are eligible for Kindergarten. Parents registering their child must present an original birth certificate (with raised seal), an up-to-date immunization record (see below) and valid proof of residence.

New Jersey State Immunization Requirements

DPT
Minimum of 4 doses, administered on or after the 4th birthday.
Children with totals of 5 doses are in compliance.

Opv. (Polio)
Any 4 doses will meet compliance standards

Hib
Mandated for preschool & pre-kindergarten

MMR (measles, mumps and rubella (also known as German measles)
One dose on or after 1st birthday
Two doses if born after 1/1/90

Hepatitis B
3 doses of Hep-B vaccine

Varicella (also known as Chicken Pox)
1 dose of vaccine on or after first birthday OR parental/physician history of disease

Mantoux (TB) Test
Required if entering from another state or country unless valid proof of a test in previous 6 months is given.

Physical - Must be completed within 1 year (365 days) of entering the District
