Stafford Township School District

Welcome!

Is it May already? It seems as if the past eight months have gone by so quickly. While May brings thoughts of summer as the weather turns warmer, there are still many things to be accomplished this school year.

One of the most important undertakings this month is the NJASK Test. The test will be administered to our fifth and six graders on May 6-9. Our third graders will be tested the following week, May 13-16, along with our fourth graders, who will have an extra day of testing on May 17. Students have been working hard to prepare for these assessments and staff members have been striving to keep everyone positive and motivated. Parents and guardians can assist their children by making sure their child has a good night’s sleep and a nutritious breakfast each day.

We also have many concerts and showcases scheduled during the month of May. I encourage everyone to attend at least one event to see first-hand our wonderful district programs and the talents our students have developed throughout the year.

Lastly, we are very proud of the dedicated teachers who work to educate and inspire our students and we salute them this during the first week of this month as we celebrate Staff Appreciation Week. In addition, at this month’s Board of Education meeting we will honor five very deserving Teachers of the Year: Mary Darmody, Susan Vliet, Kelly Potter, Kelly Reese, and Jennifer Martin.

“Teachers, I believe, are the most responsible and important members of society because their professional efforts affect the fate of the earth.”
