    4th and 5th Grade Musical In Concert 

     

    CONGRATULATIONS!

    Once you register your child for the 4th and 5th grade musical in concert, they are in the show.

    It is as simple as that. 

     

    All of the information below and more will be shared in detail during the 

    Mandatory Parent/Guardian/Student Meeting which you can view from your computer or device on September 8th at 4 pm. 

    Before the meeting, read through Policies and Procedures.



     POLICIES

    COMMUNICATION

    The teachers of this program are Mrs. Gioe, Miss Zuzic, Mrs. Finley and Ms. Myers.  

    We utilize email to communicate with our parents AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK!. 

    ***PLEASE, when you register, use an email address that you check frequently

    at least once a week. ***

    Parent/Guardian/Student Meeting  

    THIS MEETING IS MANDATORY 

    The Parent/Guardian/Student meeting will be viewed on line this year due to COVID-19. 

    It will be available on this page: September 8th at 4 pm. 

    YOU MUST REGISTER BY SEPTEMBER 10!

    NO LATE REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED! 




    ABSENCES, ATTENDANCE, ACADEMICS AND THE THREE STRIKES POLICY

    • Attendance- If a child misses more than three rehearsals, their participation will be in jeopardy.
    • Absences must be reported  by parent or guardian directly to Mrs. Gioe before 12:00pm on the date of the absence. Mrs. Gioe, Email: cgioe@staffordschools.org
    • All participants (cast) will be required to attend rehearsals listed below:   

     

    Rehearsals  2:30-3:45             

    September 13-16  

    September 20-23 

    September 27-30   

    October 4-7  

     

    Tech Rehearsals 2:30-5:00

    October 12-14  

    October 18-22*  (M-F*)

    October 25-26 

     

    Performance

    OCTOBER 27 & 28

     

    -Children MAY NOT PARTICIPATE in other Enrichment Activities during this time.

    Think about the old adage, you can’t be in two places at once. 

    - All students will be included in the performance as a choir. 

    - We DO NOT guarantee solo’s, dance or acting parts for every child.

     

     

    ACADEMIC POLICY - ALL SCHOOL RULES APPLY AT ALL SCHOOL FUNCTIONS.

    • Students Academics- Your child’s teacher will contact us and then we will contact home if necessary for Academic concerns. 
    • Three Strikes Policy-If your child receives three warnings by the directors for Academic, Attendance or Early/Late pick-ups, then s(he) may not be allowed to participate in the program (including performances). A parent/guardian will be notified when a child receives a warning.  All cases will be at the discretion of the Principal.

     

     

    PROCEDURES

     

    DISMISSAL

    • All students are to be picked up in the Intermediate School lobby at dismissal time. 
    • You and/or the adult picking up your child, 
    • must be on the Genesis Pick Up list (contact the main office of your child’s building) 
    • ID is required to be shown at every pick up
    • Students must be signed out when picked up.
    • We ask for safety purposes that you please park your car in a parking spot. 

    Do not park in the loop.

     

    PICK UP POLICY

    Students must be picked up on time and signed out in the Intermediate Lobby. 

    Students NOT picked up on time will be:

    1. sent to the district's Extended Day Program 
    2. Parents/Guardians will be charged a $10.00 drop in fee
    3. The location for Extended Day is in the McKinley School Cafeteria.
    4. We will attempt to call you and leave a message

     

    EARLY PICK-UP

    You may not  pick up your child early.

    We realize that situations arise that require an early pick up. If an EMERGENCY arises please call 978-5700 ext 1225.

    •     Please remember no buses are available for this program.  Students will require transportation.

     

    EMERGENCY

    The nursing staff is available until 3:00. If an emergency occurs, 911 will be called along with a parent or emergency contact.

     

    REGISTRATION

    Once you have viewed the meeting which is available September 8th at 4 PM, a link will be provided for you to register your child for the program. 

    By registering your child, you are stating that you have read, accepted, and understood our Policies and Proc. Think of this like a contract. 

     

    NO LATE FORMS WILL BE ACCEPTED
