MEET THE ARTIST - Romero Britto
Students will be introduced to this amazing artist who is currently spreading love, happiness and optimism around the world through his unique art and colors. Let's be part of The Happy Art Movement founded by Britto and help him share positivity and hope right now with people and places that need it the most!
Check out this short video that takes a closer look into his life, his studio
and his inspiration for bringing joy to the world through his art.
Britto is currently offering a free online coloring book,
which is available to download by clicking here.

Since we would normally be going to Makerspace this week, students will be encouraged to create in their own individual Makerspaces using recyclable and found materials from home!
Thanks so much to all the families who are sharing their love and appreciation with the Hearts for Healthcare Workers. Our Frontline Heroes are truly touched by your sincerity and creativity, so please keep sending us your pictures!
Here are some extra activities to continue your love of art from home!
I have included ideas and links for a variety of games, activities and virtual tours for you to explore on your own, aside for the weekly assignments. Please feel free to email me at email@example.com with questions, comments and pictures of your work, inspired by these resources or from your own imagination.

"ELEMENTS OF ARTWORK" DISPLAY PROJECT
Create your own drawing or painting at home to be hung on my "Elements of Art" cabinet display in our classroom. On the back of your artwork, please write one paragraph (in pencil of course) about which element of art is most featured in your picture, with emphasis on the reason for your choice of medium and subject matter.
Here are a few examples (but please don't hesitate to email me if you need further explanation):
