The Child Study Team (CST) are the individuals who are responsible for the development, review and revision of the student's Individualized Education Program. CST is comprised of a School Psychologist, a School Social Worker, and a Learning Disabilities Teacher/Consultant.
I am the school psychologist on the CST at the Intermediate School. Welcome to my page. A School Psychologist has several roles within the school system. A school psychologist is responsible for providing data-based, non-biased psychological assessment for children. A School Psychologist also serves as a consultant to teachers, professional staff, and parents. This means the School Psychologist works individually or in collaborative teams to help address the learning and behavioral needs of students in the school. A School Psychologist is also skilled in providing counseling services to all ages of children and youth, in both individual and small group formats.
As your child's case manager my responsibilities are :
•Coordinate the development, monitoring and effectiveness of the IEP
•Providing Case management services
•Facilitate communication between home and school
•Be knowledgeable about the students' educational needs and program
•Providing counseling and support to students, parents and school staff
•Conduct Social History Assessments
•Advocating for student services and student best interests
•Contributing to a multidisciplinary treatment team
